THIS IS A BASIC DVD GENERATOR TUTORIAL AGAIN I HAVE CUT DOWN AND ALTERED CERTAIN PARTS OF GOKUNS TUTORIAL FOR MGS ALL CREDITS GO TO HIM.ALSO REMEMBER THAT THIS IS A BASIC TUTORIAL AND YOU WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO PLAY ABOUT WITH THE FILE ORDERS. First things first...open the CD in ISOBuster and extract all files to a folder in your HD. Open up CD\DVD Generator(Create New Project\CD Rom Master Disc) The first screen you'll probably see is the DIRECTORY info screen. We're not ready for this one just yet. At the top left of the screen, you'll see 3 buttons: VOLUME,DIRECTORY,and LAYOUT. Click the VOLUME button to go to the VOLUME info screen. You will see four areas to input information. Because this particular disc has no volume label, the only thing we need to do here is input a Disc Name under the Master Disc Information area. I just use the name of the SLES file for this,so input whatever the original is I.E. SLES55501 as is done here no spaces. Now click on the DIRECTORY button. The DIRECTORY screen is where we input our files. The order in which you input the files plays a role so always input with care. The first thing we want to do here is create our directories. So if your game has 2 dirs; you look at the CD in ISOBuster you will notice the order in which they need to be(look at the LBA number in ISOBuster to see). Thus,we input our directories in the Correct order they are on the origional: I.E. MUSIC DATA (Directories are created by clicking on Edit\Create Directory-a new dir will appear and you simply input the proper name for it). Now that our dirs are ready we again check ISOBuster so we know what order the rest of the files go in. Checking the LBA numbers we make sure that the files go in the correct order: Verifying the file order in each dir by looking at the LBAs in ISOBuster. Now that we have all of our files input we are ready to go to the LAYOUT screen. Click on the LAYOUT button to go there. You will see two windows; one on top and one on bottom. You don't need to mess with the top window; leave it as it is. In the bottom window you'll a list of all your files, with the corressponding LBA number to the right. The LBAs may not be the same as on your Original disc in ISOBuster. That's OK. We can fix that. Let's look at the SYSTEM.CNF,which the LBA will probably not be where we wnat it. In order for the AR2 swap to work, the SYSTEM.CNF must be at LBA 12231. In CD Generator, highlight SYSTEM.CNF in the LAYOUT window and right click;a small menu will appear. The last option is Location. Choose this option and input 12231 and hit OK. Back in the LAYOUT window you'll notice that all the LBAs have changed accordingly. Well, we want the remaining LBAs to match up as close as possible to the original. Looking back to ISOBuster we check the second file's LBA and in CD Generator, highlight this file, right click it and change the Location to that of the original. Now,because we brought all the files into cd generator in the proper order, they will *all* be numbered properly after this one change. Compare them with the LBAs in ISOBuster to see that this is true. Good deal (if not then alter there LBA's as we did above). Now we're done setting up. Go to File\Export IML and save the file in the same directory as your iml2iso.exe. OK. Now we open a DOS window and go to our iml2iso.exe directory where YOURFILE.IML and YOURFILE.IMS(or something similar) are located as well. We now build the ISO image by typing in: iml2iso yourfile.iml yourfile.ISO After several minutes, the program will say Done. and go back to the prompt. You will now have a file named yourfile.ISO in this dir. We can now delete the files that we extracted to the hard drive from the original CD; we're done with them. BURNING THE IMAGE ----------------- Time to burn the image! Open up CDRWin and select the File Backup\Tools option. Now select Record ISO9660 option from top drop down menu. As our image we browse to yourfile.ISO and select it(the option to do this will be found under ISO9660 Image File). Just below we see 2 drop dodwn tabs that say CDROM and MODE 1. We will change these to read: CDROMXA MODE 2. Under Recording Options the only thing we want selected are Finalize\Close Session and Write Postgap. Click Start to burn the image to CD. Voila! When it finishes burning you can do the swap trick and Hopefully it works with no hang ups at the stairs. Hope that give's you a basic idea of how to do things. Play around with the programs a bit with some other games which are known to work already and you'll get good with it in no time flat.
